In Shropshire, floods, snow and sunshine. Visited Hereford Cathedral to see the Mappa Mundi and also found 'The Weeping Window'.

These are 'Deep Waters', about being on Orkney and looking across cairns at the scuttled ships in the Scarpa Flow.

At the Tate this weekend, our youngest chose Freud to study a portrait painting style - which totally works for me. Serendipitously found he was at Tate Britain - but definately with more nudes than they bargained for.

This is the work of Tiggy Fiander at Future Primitive Soap Company. She creates handmade soaps and products with enchanting scent blends and weaves wonderful narratives around them. Having watched her tutorials on youtube and relished her work in every way it was a treat to drop into her Evesham workshop last week.

The wonderful lichen on this gravestone in Great Glemham churchyard caught my eye, it's right in the zone of ochre to eau de nil that I'm caught up in at the moment.

Last December I met silversmith Gabriella Lane at Blackthorpe Barn, I was fascinated by her craftsmanship and distinctive personal style. So I was delighted to find that she used one of my vessels in on of her commissions. Friend and talented printmaker/teacher Annette Rolston ran her second 'Print in Action' day at Designer Markers 21 in Diss last weekend, taster print sessions and an exhibition of print across the road at the Corn Hall. We were able to do drypoint and linocut with experienced printmakers Mario Gonzales and Zelda Eady.
