A detail of the magnificent replica of the Sutton Hoo Viking Burial ship being built below us as we get ready for Suffolk Craft Society’s next exhibition at The Longshed gallery. This is my third #glass #fossil and seashore totem: Hidden Depths along with three small vessels for minute treasures, some of my work for the show.

Thanks to everyone who came by for the Open Studio weekend and to Suffolk Open Studios for navigating complicated times to make it happen!

A tiny Fossil vase for small but perfectly formed items, in this case buds from a curry plant. Thanks to everyone who came by my studio today as part of the Suffolk Open Studios Art Around Framlingham Trail, on again tomorrow 11am - 5pm. Sorry if we didn’t get much of a chance to chat!

Reception out at my studio is poor and I can only update here on a PC - I have just realised the whole Open Studio Weekend passed without a post here from me. This weekend I’m on the Art Around Framlingham Trail and having done my first Open Studio in 2011 that’s a decade of Suffolk Open Studios for me. I always want to see ‘how’ and know ‘why?’, plus there’s nothing quite like seeing molten glass being sculpted in the flame - albeit on a reduced scale!

Small sunsets, planets, waves and raindrops by the handful. Take the weather (or a tiny microcosm of it in glass) with you. Find me for Suffolk Open Studios as part of the Art Around Framlingham Trail this weekend.
