Estuary earrings, I just finished photograhing them in an apt environment (River Deben) and someone saw what they were and took them off my hands.

We are here until close of business next Weds, 22nd October. Snape Bridge is closed but you might consider parking on the other side and strolling across rather than engaging in the 'Diversions'. WE have lovely work and (yesterday and today) sublime weather.

Suddenly a lot of the trees are this colour and that's a good thing on a relentlessly grey and rainy day.

Definately time for more colour and heat, kitchen magic this time, I just mixed a BIG jar of our favourite spice mix for Singapore curry. I learned the hard way not to include the dried chillies while hammering away at it with our workmanlike (brought back from Thailand) pestle and mortar.

At my studio getting straight for our exhibition at Snape Maltings opening on Thursday. Not going to lie - I have to be ingenious to take an attractive photo as it is an ex-piggery wth a pile of building materials and rubble in front of it. I don't mind as there is plenty of glory going on in the fields round the back - but I will take credit for this.

I've been preparing for an exhibition at The Quay Gallery next week (details on events page) but as with all other 2020 events and enterprises, in difficult and shifting times for everyone. I've always preferred to sell my glass where it can be seen in person but know that has become difficult (to impossible) for some. SO I'm in the process of creating a small Glass Shop here on my website. Each listing is for a single item, not multiples and while available here online I shan't be carrying them with me to exhibitions, pop-ups, galleries etc. Check out my lovely Sol totem with its latest upgrades there. If a totem stays with me I tend to add to it, they are one of my favourite things to make (as are rings) as they are more about the glass than anything else and they are uniquely my own.

Thank to everyone who came by for our Open Studios. Here are some very cheering berries in Woodridge with a dash of blue sky.

It has been raining ALL WEEKEND and the sky has been slate-grey. Cloud rings on silver seem apt. Thanks to everyone who came by (sometimes waited in said rain to keep responsible distances) to our Open Studios, it’s been an absolute pleasure meeting new folk, online friends and working alongside @Botanicalbeing who always brings the natural and creative magic. Interview with Steph Mack live on BBC Radio Suffolk https:/https://www.bbc.co.uk/sounds/play/p08s5pll 37-46 mins.

I got to chat with charming Steph Mack about our Open Studio Weekend (this weekend and a single Saturday - 12th in December) glass and our processes. Find me from 38 to 46mins in, directly after Kylie Minogue. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sounds/play/p08s5pll

I will be talking to Steph Mack on BBC Radio Suffolk around 6.30pm and in my Open Studio this weekend at the torch, if you plan to visit please read the directions on my website. Some of these barns are quartered and the numbering follows round each barn! Consider making an appointment via DM on Insta or email (NOT Facebook during studio hours - it doesn’t load) rather than waiting as I’m having two persons max in my studio at a time. @botanicalbeing doesn’t need appointments given the scale of her studio!

Getting ready for Open Studios in Earl Soham this weekend alongside @botanicalbeing - on the bright side (dark evening) it was feeling very cosy with the rain outside last night.
