I had a talk & demo to do for a lovely and involved crowd at Great Glemham this week, driving home at almost 10pm a peacock strolled out in front of me - at one point almost taking up the whole road.

'Aldeburgh Paint' - very distinctive colours and textures. Its been two very busy but productive weeks of teaching and making along with weekend Open Studios. Aldeburgh (with its superb fish&chip shop) is a favourite bit of coast for us, especially out-of-season.

I might as well admit I didn't know what this was - to be fair I've never seen one wandering around in nature - a partridge at my studio.

My studio is in the row of barns in Yew Tree Coutr that runs parallel to the main road. I#m open today and tomorrow 11am - 5pm.

I have my VERY OWN shrine (and an etched, anatomical heart brooch) made for my birthday, this is about as good as it gets. Somehow our eldest found time to make me a Vierge Ouvrante, knowing how much I love the medieval. I tend to have lots of small passport-sized sketchbooks with soft covers, I get a few pages done every time I get to the British Museum, then I misplace the item. Neolithic inspiration for my Earth Mother and wonderfully strange Bird Women with earrings.

My blog is glitching at the moment so if there are any strange double posts that would be it. Some more of the work that went to Walsingham. I could work with this ivory colour all day, it's the application of fine silver that creates the wonderful stryations.
