I have my VERY OWN shrine (and an etched, anatomical heart brooch) made for my birthday, this is about as good as it gets. Somehow our eldest found time to make me a Vierge Ouvrante, knowing how much I love the medieval. It is 3D, hinged and stands up, and reveals the subversive image of a patriarchal institution held within the compass of a mother and child. This was a response to me asking for the following wonderful book for my birthday.
